Keith Morris

Yesterday we were informed that Keith Morris, founder of Ultramist, had sadly passed away in his sleep after a long battle with cancer. This is truly devastating news for his close family, friends and colleagues. Our thoughts are with his wife Zola and his sons.

Keith was our best friend, a “step-dad” for want of a better word. At a time of grief and high emotion it is difficult to put into words our collective thoughts and feelings; anger, denial, sadness. But knowing Keith he would not want us to dwell for long “it is what it is” he proudly remind us.

As such we must reflect on the positives. Keith was an inspirational, passionate and genuinely sincere person. He founded Ultrasafe back in 2002 with the long term vision of creating a successful, reputable company which would focus on providing life safety fire sprinkler systems. Saving lives and looking after the community, for Keith, were his passions and will remain his legacy.

Legacy. True to his word he has done just that. You are reading this article on a brand new website; we have sprinkler systems which have saved lives (as recently as November 2012); we have exciting contracts lined up for the new year as well as brilliant people to work on them.

Keith may no longer be with us, but he will never be forgotten and will live on via his outstanding contribution to the fire sprinkler industry.
